Hair Oil Skin Test Cards

The special oil-absorbing coating on the card (such as special oil-absorbing paper or color-developing test paper) will show changes in the area and density of oil spots after contacting scalp oil, or display different shades through chemical coloration; then the results are determined by comparing them with the provided standard color scale / oiliness grading card (usually divided into 5 levels: dry, neutral, mild oiliness, moderate oiliness, and heavy oiliness).
Structure: Commonly in the form of a thin card, consisting of a base layer, an oil-absorbing test area, and a comparison color card area.

Product Description

The skin type test card mainly analyzes dry skin, combination skin, and oily skin based on the color-changing principle.

Dry skin: No change on the test paper surface
Combination skin: Slight changes on the test paper surface
Oily skin: Obvious changes on the test paper surface

Correct usage: Take a small piece of test paper each time, press it on the test area, and hold for several tens of seconds. Remove the test paper and observe the changes on it. Please clean the area 1 hour before testing.

Usage Instructions and Precautions

Do not wash your hair or use styling products before testing. It is recommended to test 24–48 hours after washing your hair (when oil levels are stable); part the hair to expose a clean scalp.
Press the oil-absorbing area of the test card firmly against the scalp for 10–15 seconds.
After removing, let it sit for a few seconds, then compare it with the standard oil level chart on the card to determine the grade.
Note: Sweating or high environmental humidity may affect the results; test the same spot each time for easier comparison; each card is for single use only to avoid cross-contamination.
